Title: Help me find "how to build amp" post
Post by: eldredjames on July 02, 2017, 04:39:03 pm
So I've been jumping around this forum and Hoffman Amplifier's pages for a little bit now.

At one point I found a step-by-step guide to building an amplifier.  You know, pictures, the order to fill the chassis.  I'm trying to find it again but I can't.  Can someone point me back there?

While we're at it, does anyone know the software used to produce the chassis diagrams with pictures of board, electronics, etc?

I'm going to build a Tweed Overdrive Special with reverb added.  Easier to build on paper before the actual one.  I've got the schematic and layout already.

Thanks again,
Jim

Which forum do we post new builds started/in progress?  I'm still working my layout plans.

Which forum
you're on the right one, once you have a sketched up schematic and a good working idea of what you're after, start a thread.  Someone here will hold your hand ONCE, then there's a sharp learning curve :icon_biggrin:  The brain-trust here is huge, spend time learning "where" to find information, topics like grounding, safety, ohms law, etc.

oh and let your family know you are volunteering to become an amp addict, no cures available, so you have been warned
