Title: 68 Super Reverb Reverb Problem
Post by: TerryD on August 07, 2017, 11:39:49 am
I have a 68 Super that I got off of Reverb.com about 5 months ago.  All of a sudden I have no reverb, but when I smash the amp I get the reverb tank crash sound.   What could be the problem??

Thanks,
Terry

when I smash the amp
so the back half is working, get out your listening amp, scope, meter, and see what's up with the front end

Reverse the reverb cables on the rear of the amp and see if there is any thunder when you rock the amp back and forth with some violence (or smash the amp, if you prefer).

Do you have a known good 12AT7 reverb driver tube you can swap in the amp?
