There's lots of discussion on the bass pot earth error if you search. Mistake or not, if you lift the bass earth it's still a poor "traditional" tonestack. Either way, the bass pot does nothing except at the extremities and those positions are not much use. To my ear. the treble pot just cuts bass. So wired the other way round, you've got a traditional bass pot. Adds bass.
So now there is a redundant bass pot.
Can anyone suggest a rewire of the new treble pot (old earthed bass pot (earthed or otherwise)) to adjust the treble.
Or suggest a tonestack that keeps the Vox vibe (with at least the dials at noon) but is more useful/intuitive?
