Here's the latest, yeah it's weird, not sure why they links seem suddenly 'off' I know they were talking about deprecating support for flash plugin type stuff eventually, maybe that's why it's being weird?
The latest in the series:

Edit... Testing embedded video after Doug fixed the problem...

Since the changes I only see black squares where your videos should be in IE 11,
but do get full embedded video in Chrome
Nice videos, by the way, Phil

BTW Silvergun, check your IE url bar, there may be some indicator that it's blocking something? IE isn't really the safest or best browser out there anyway, I highly recommend trying something different. Even if you just want to use MS products, try edge.

I wanted to follow up and let you guys know that I figured this out....
I was having trouble with another site and it was pissing me off so I went into heavy troubleshooting mode and found that I had added both that site, and EL34 World to my "compatibility view" list in IE11 a few years ago (I forget why)
So, by removing them both from my "compatibility view" list, I can see both sites 100% fine now.

Very cool! I highly recommend using any browser EXCEPT IE11 :) It's the least standards compliant, and the most vulnerable to bad actors/attacks out there.
Even Microsoft's Edge browser is significantly better.
Try Chrome, Firefox, Opera, Edge, and see if any fit your preferences better, and you're going to generally have a better experience. Just realize you need to keep IE around because some sites refuse to work on anything BUT I.E. they're becoming less popular.
I love calling it "Internet Exploder" for a reason :D

This is a different issue from the original problem that Doug fixed not long ago. I could not see embedded videos even with Chrome. Doug explained the problem and his fix in another thread.
I had also run IE 10 in compatibility mode because it would not handle the message text entry box correctly. But when I upgraded to IE 11 I no longer needed compat mode so I removed this site from the list. In fact, my list is now empty. When I read this reply I had to use compat mode again and sure enough, I saw exactly what you described, so I quickly turned compat mode off again.

I knew it had to be in my Internet Options, but just couldn't find it before today (or just didn't look hard enough)
I had tried "reset advanced settings", etc.
I've been digging a little deeper lately and happy to have stumbled across it.
Then, I tried to take my company's remote access site off the list and then that wouldn't work, sooooo
I can't say I learned anything. :icon_biggrin:
Sorry for the hijack Phil, still love those videos!...'specially now that I can see em

No worries, next week we'll have the next in the series, It takes me enough time to edit the videos that 10-15 mins worth is about all I want to do in a sitting :D.
Side note, the amp is actually done, I completed it a weekend back, not this but last. It sounded pretty damn good, until I took the scope to it and balanced the PI, then it really came out and started singing. I love it!
I'll have the final build video probably next week, and then a demo the week after.
I realized today I now have 90 videos on Youtube, I'm becoming a content creator I guess :)
