Post by: Ritchie200 on October 24, 2017, 09:41:40 pm
Ok, this was done for prostate cancer awareness with an incredible all star solo-fest.  Some really neat stuff here if you can get through the singing part....  Have patience...!

I went back and tried Chrome and at least I can see the linked address

In IE 11, nothin'  :dontknow:

I'm not a big conspiracy theory guy, but I swear that Google/YouTube is intentionally slowing down and bugging up IE to try to get us to all switch to Chrome

Wohoo, hold up on that carwash Dave.  Blackmore=Shredder, I sort of disagree.  Blackmore was doing his stuff way before others and I wouldn't really call it shredding.  I thought Shredding was all about not caring what sounds good as long as you are running 3 notes per string.  Never do I really hear double diminished from shredders, but I hear it from Blackmore.

And why not just google naked women playing guitar Jimbob?  I found some really great ones, but not family oriented like the forum here.

BTW, all the videos showed up for me the whole time.  I believe you guys have a nut loose between you chair and keyboard.

So that's how the pilgrims dressed, English Mod?    :think1:        :l2:

Ed, you cant let history and fact get in the way of a poser and his fans!  What's wrong with you!  Add that to the fact that SG thinks Flock of Seagulls is cutting edge....

For SG and Willabe,
Now, let's take a walk down memory lane, shall we?  Sporting a mid 60's sized bow tie ala stripper-gram meets The Village People, fashion icon (squeak) The (squeak) Dregg (squeak) of (squeak) replacement (squeak) guitar (squeak) players (squeak) struts his stuff just for SG's visual, and who knows what else, entertainment...  And gosh, the future is just so bright!!!!!!  Wait!!!  Is that J. Allaboutme Bananarama I can just barely make out in the background?!?!?!  Oh sorry, my bad, all his equipment is sitting for sale at Norm's Rare Tub Thumpers - couldn't be him..... :dontknow: (Plus, if that was him he would be standing in FRONT of Steve....)

Thangyouberrymush....!
Jim  Boom! (for lack of a drop the mic smiley...) :icon_biggrin:

Now Jim, I was being nice.  I know you don't care for Normans Expensive beat up guitars, but Joe Bonamassa certainly does not keep his collection at Normans.  Norman wishes he has Joe's collection.

Where did all this Steve Morse stuff come from.  I mean, he is one of the great cover players.  Do not make the mistake of thinking Cruse Control is an original.  It is actually a contemporary fiddle song by Mark O'Conner.

For SG and Willabe, .......

What? I never said  ~ any-thing ~  about Steve Morse, I'm not sticking up for him.  :think1:

I still think Blackmore looks like a pilgrim dressed English Mod in that pic, even his hair!    :l2:

yes Bradley, Jim just likes to make sure he doesn't miss anyone.

But History seems to change with time, so maybe in the future Blacmore will become a shredder.

Ed,

Let me set up a time line for you that may explain my responses....

About ten years ago, SG made fun of Ritchie.  I'm not one to hold any long term grievances.  However, where I live (in Blackmoreville), it is an offence similar to a witch in Salem.  Bonfire.

A while back, Sluckey made a comment that if Bananarama had been in Deep Purple back in the 70's they would have been even bigger.  SG agreed.  Two bonfires.

THEN SG said that the Pinch Harmonic King had taken Deep Purple to much greater success, blah blah blah some such blah blah blah because he is blah blah blah his face is tattooed on my blah blah blah......on and on......  You get the picture.  Yup another bonfire.

Now Mr. Innocent makes a pilgrim joke and tries to feint with "what did I do?"  A little gas for this one...POOF!

So yes, Ed you are correct.  Ritchie doesn't shred...anymore.  Here's why.  Unlike the two above, who shall not be named, who have made careers out of acting like they can shred, but have absolutely nothing to say - he has more maturity than those two 12 yr olds.

Jim, I've never said anything about Blackmore before, that was all SG. He's a more than accomplished guitarist. I don't listen to him anymore, but I don't listen to a LOT of players/bands anymore. Doesn't mean I don't think they can play, my taste's have changed over the years that's all.

As far as Steve Morse, I've never bought any of his albums, never saw him live and I've never really listened to any thing he's played, so I have no clue about his music.  :dontknow:

As far as the pic, rock stars and other musicians have always worn different and/or wild clothing, no big thing. It's show bizz.

That hat (and hair) just reminds me of a pilgrim.

Rock n Roll baby; "That pilgrim could play just like a ringin a bell! Go, go, go pilgrim go go!"   :l2:

Yeah, yeah, yeah.... Still a punishable offense.  POOF!  You don't listen to him any more?????  POOF! :blob8:

Well, 1, Rory was older, so he wore them 1st, looks like Rory's 10-12 years old in that pic not a grown man like Angus was and 2, Rory didn't pull his shorts down and moon the audience every show.  :l2:
