Title: Charlie Daniels Band, No Place Left To Go. Live
Post by: Willabe on November 03, 2017, 04:26:03 pm
Who says country boys can't swing blues/jazz/rock?  :icon_biggrin:

All 3 off the Fire on the Mountain album, early 70's, very tight unit. Twin Les Paul's, Hammond/Leslie, bass, double drums. (Hmmmmm, just like some other southern bands line up?   :undecided: )

Spanish/California influence, Caballo Diablo, is this in 3/4 or 6/8 time?

And can't forget about this song, Trudy,

Saw Charlie at a local fair a few years ago.  He was fantastic!  Still has a great voice and I really like his guitar playing over the fiddle.  These are classic masterpieces!

Yeah I like his music. These 3 songs, band sounds real good to me.

I saw him/them at the Aragon Ballroom, I think twice, in the mid 70's.
