Ello. I'm thinking I'll add a reverb circuit to my next build. I was trying to find info on making the send/return cable but couldn't find a lot on the subject. I was wondering if the shield is connected to both plugs or just on one side? Also, is a 12A input jack used for a Marshall style reverb on/off switch? Sorry not a whole lot of experience with the reverbs. Thanks...dave

Plenty of guys have done 1-tube reverb circuits in their amps (Google 'tubenit' '1 tube reverb').
If you want to build a more classic tube amp with reverb, a BF Princeton Reverb is a nice thing to play.

Look in archivies for one tube reverb. Lots of info. I have always been told that Marshalls do not like reverb

The cables should be connected on both ends for sure, but the jacks themselves, I'd connect only on one end, the lower impedance or previous stage side, that way it sends any noise picked up to earth before the amplification.
To me that means for the 'send' ground it inside the amp, and for the 'return', ground it in the chassis of the reverb pan, but then you'd likely want to ground that as well, so maybe the 'send' gets grounded, and then the connection of the input to the reverb is only connected to ground and the output is also connected to the chassis of the pan. This leaves no route in the 'return' for anything but 'back to send' for any noise.

No need to overthink this, just copy ab763 fender layout and use fender replacement parts.
