Title: Metal speaker grill sources
Post by: dennyg on November 20, 2017, 11:23:42 am
I've used ReliableHardware.com for a couple previous grills for amp heads - cost for a 16"x6" with 1/2" bends is about $50 incl shipping.
They are nice quality, heavy gauge, anodized (vs spray paint) and their dimensions are accurate.  But like to know what other options might be out there. Pic of one of my heads below with one of their grills  - next on my list is figuring out how to design face plates for a printer - my amps don't have plates at this point.
Any ideas?

This place is right off Cottman Ave. exit off 95 in Philly.
They offer cutting and bending and check out their specialty products.

Although, that ReliableHardware.com price will be hard to beat unless you start buying sheets and doing some of the work yourself. You can go to Metal Stock and leave with a sheet.

Also, Home Depot carries some small sheets of decorative metal.

As for the faceplates, search for "waterslide decal" or find a friend who can hand paint.
You can also use a local sign or printing company to print on thin plastic sheeting or whatever.
I use 95 Signs in Glenolden, Pa. and Danielle there does a great job.
