Single channel Fender with reverb layout
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I am wanting to build a single channel Super Reverb or Deluxe Reverb with no tremelo. I haven't decided on output power yet. Anyway, Anyone know of a nice layout for this or should I just take a Fender layout and omit what I don't want? Anyone have such a layout handy to share? Thanks, Bruce J.

Look at a Princeton Reverb AA1164, for a DIY amp.

One channel, nice tone stack, 14 watts as is but you can build a 6L6 power section for the single channel pre amp and get around 40 watts.

That amp has an excellent tremolo without the "Opto-Roach", but you could easily leave it off if you so desire.

I just finished building a DIY BFPR and it has excellent tone, through a 12" AlNiCo speaker. Loud enough for small venues as is.

Good luck whatever you decide to build...

 Already have one
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Thanks Casey but I already have a '72 Princeton Reverb and a '66 Princeton. I guess what I want is a Princeton style amp with a LTP phase inverter. If I could figure out how to change the PI I guess I'd have it. I don't want to mod my Fender's, though, but build a new amp. Bruce J.

just follow the PR schematic up to the PI, then go SR... it wouldn't be hard at all

or stick the premier reverb circuit in there... then you'll basically be doing what I'm doing w/ my bandmaster, except i'm going w/ split-load PI

 Schematic
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I'll send it either later tonight or tomorrow, I have it at home- There is one extra control in the preamp called a "raw" control which acts to retrieve the signal sent to ground by the tone controls;IT CAN EASILY BE OMITTED.

Too large to take a picture of? Scan it in sections and photochop it together, or send the pieces to acplink@earthlink.net

 Funk,
I'd like a copy of the schematic as well. If you can take a decent digital pic of the layout, I could redraw it in Visio for everone that wants it.
