Get a tank with a high input z and a high output z.

Thanks Mr. Sluckey. Wonder what planet the guy was from that designed this amp?

The amp design is fine. The schematic drawing was surely done on the third shift!

The real odd thing is the kind of Reverb Tank used by VOX
see here http://www.voxshowroom.com/uk/amp/ac10srt.html (http://www.voxshowroom.com/uk/amp/ac10srt.html)
the image that follow didn't show the AC10 SRT, but the kind of Reverb Tank is the same

I really don't know if the VOX Reverb Circuit can drive a standard Reverb Tank :dontknow:

I read somewhere that they used a single spring and a phono needle (which you can see in the photo above) to keep from paying the license fee for a Hammond or other name-brand tank.

Yes that is :icon_biggrin:

That license fee MIGHT have been money well spent!

That's what I was wondering. The driver really implies a crystal transducer. But I didn't know anybody but SilverTone did that.
Cheap phono needles.... cute. You can even buy them, and they are all more alike than different for this (mis)application. Steal the springs out of a dead Hammond.
