Ello. I'm wondering if anyone can tell me if it's possible to take a master volume out of the circuit using a spst push/pull switch. I was looking at a diagram for a type 3 ppimv and switching it out of the circuit with a dpdt push/pull switch. I'm wondering if you can do the same with a spst. Thanks...dave

I don't think so.

How 'bout this?
You'll be left with some series resistance on each side, so I wouldn't consider it being totally out of the circuit

I was wondering which is the type 3 ....
for sure with one SPST you can take off a Crossline MV

For the type 3 you must use one SPDT + one Relay

I also thought that the crossline was the type 3 and like K said, yes you can use spst switch

Yeah, that's the one. Thanks guys. Know how the lugs are wired with a push/pull switch?

My post was not correct. I didn't think it through. An SPST in the position I drew wouldn't work for a number of reasons, based on how you tried to wire it.
My bad...now back to my hoagie.

Sorry about my previous reply. Yes, a SPST switch will work. Just cut one of the wires going to the pot and connect the two cut ends to the switch .

Gotcha. Thanks!
