Title: Cap value question
Post by: pbman1953 on February 09, 2018, 06:15:48 pm
I have a Sunn 2000s that had some noise when turning on but worked just fine. But tapping the case had the same noise.

I found that a cap's ground broke free and the lead is too short to be re-soldered.

This cap is a 20mf at 500 is in parallel with another 22mf at 500. The total is 42mf at 500v. I have a JJ- 80MF at 500. Can I take out both and use the JJ?

Thanks

should be fine, the 30uF might need to stay close to value depending on the Rec tubes finicky factor.
