I've got some passive 7 string humbucker pickups with the standard legs on the baseplates for the height screws and springs. I'd like to cut off these legs, drill the base plates and fit some covers to the pickups so that I can retro-fit them into a guitar routed for Duncan active types (without recesses for standard humbucker mounting legs). I've seen a few pickup makers who manufacture passive pickups with these kinds of traditional pickup cover, but with the two recesses/drilled holes in for Duncan style mounting...does anyone know whether the covers are available anywhere on their own?!
