 cathode caps.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
i have seen in fendere, marshall and sunn schematics the use of a cap anywhere from 250uf, 25 uf and even 0.22uf for the cathode on the preamp tube. what difference in sound do the values make,
thanks

The larger cap lets more low frequencies through. SO, a .22uf will let less lows through then a 22uf. When you switch from a small cap to a big cap you will notice an increase in gain and low frequencies
