the sweet spot for my builds are 17.5"x8"x2.5" in .090" aluminum with inward flanges due to the cab design I use and the only source I've been using is Ken Watts at Watts Tube Audio - only problem is he's back ordered and I've got two amps to build for my first actual paying customers who are pinging me every other day for status on their amps. Anyone have a chassis source that may have this dimension as standard? Going the custom route is $100+ per chassis from what I've seen. Ken's is $44 plus shipping and hard to beat - but who knows when he'll get new stock.

I just checked his site this minute. No indication of backorder? I stopped just short of paying.

I got a note from Ken today that he's expecting shipment any day now - Ken's father passed a few weeks back and he's backed up - but generally I've heard good things about his service. Thinking about sending doug a note asking him to expand his blank chassis options. Those Hammond chassis are just too flimsy for any iron more than 20 watters, and if anyone is building amps using g-ring like I do, with the 9-pins up front vs along the back, only option seems to be drilling your own sockets. The world needs more blank chassis!
