Title: Spacing of components DELUXE REVERB
Post by: taddy on April 05, 2018, 04:26:50 am
Hi everyone,

Thanks for all your help with my previous questions.

I am planning a Deluxe Reverb without the trem but wanting to use a couple of tag boards instead of a turret board for the components. As it stands the draft layout has some of the components relating to the early stages (V1, V2 (reverb) and V3 (post reverb) right next to each other - coupling caps next to the plate resistors or cathode bypass caps etc. The components relating to the V4 phase invertor and output tubes are a little more spaced out.

Is this going to cause problems? Is it better to have the earlier stage components more spaced out and make the later stage comps a little closer?

Cheers

Tom

You are probably OK. The flying wires to the sockets and pots typically are more troublesome than rationally-ordered components.
