Title: Martin Mull sings the blues 1973
Post by: Ritchie200 on April 22, 2018, 09:35:15 pm
I remember recording this off the headphone jack of our TV.  I believe it was Rock Concert or In Concert.  It was called Saturday night in Macon and featured the Allman Bros, Wet Willy, and Marshall Tucker.  I've still got it all on cassette.  Martin opened up the "show" with this parody on the Blues.  He pulled out a uke and a baby bottle for a slide.  I thought it was pretty funny, but you all know my warped sense of humor...  Hope you guys like it!

I saw Martin Mull in concert back in the 70's @ Stony Brook University, which included his baby bottle slide routine.  In those days, he played better slide than I could!

Martin is actually a pretty good player and has a few albums out and is also a writer.  I've seen some old vids of him and Glen Cambell trading licks.  He can hang!
