Title: Old good quality cap cans

Can these old metal Mallory cap cans be reformed with a variac slowly bringing up the voltage over 48 hours or more. Or just toss them even though they read the correct values because of their age... I guess I'm asking just because of age are they trash?

Yes they can. I've successfully rejuvenated Mallory cap cans on two Hammond conversion projects. Good enough for me. But if I was gonna try to sell these amps I would replace with new caps.
