Title: '66 Bassman power supply question
Post by: mresistor on June 26, 2018, 03:37:39 pm
Have a '66 bassman come in..  under the dog house the first two filter caps are 220UF each.  The schematic calls for 70 uf each.  Since it has a SS rectifier I suppose this is OK, but still a lot of capacitance. Wonder what you'alls opinion of this is.

Thank you ..

It was an AB165  but somewhere along the line it has been converted to an AA165.

That's fine with me. Bass likes big filter caps.
