Hey Folks,
My name is Joe B. I live in the east SF Bay, but I am a Boston transplant. I am just getting into tube amp building - just successfully completed my first 18 Watter. Went a bit rocky, but I got there. Looking forward to my next kit build - a Ceriatone Dumble clone.
I am a lifelong guitarist - I am 61 years old, so I have been playing for > 50 years. I thought I would be much better by now....:-) Actually - I can hold my own in most situations. I love playing and collecting guitars. I have some beautiful guitars - my favorites being a 2003 Collings OM2E, a 1981 Gibson Blond 335, a couple of primo Strats, and a Suhr Classic. The Suhr is an exceptional playing and sounding guitar. For amps I play through an AxeFX II, but I still love me my tube amps.
I am a network engineer by trade. I have been doing that for >25 years. Looking forward to retirement. Maybe I will make amps for a living in retirement ! I bet nobody has had that idea! :-)
Just saying Hi. Thanks for having me.
Joe
