Title: Why it Clips. Tube preamp

I made a tube preamp. But when i try to hook it in my audio interface, and strum the string, it clips. I tried to lower the gain but the volume gets so low and also tried to put a pot as an output level, the signal is too quiet but when i add a little bit volume either in master or gain, it clips already. Please help me. :(

Got a schematic? What is your audio interface? What signal level does it expect?
