Would this silverface Fender Pro benefit  by replacing the 2.7K / 25uf cap with an LED  to increase the intensity ?

Any benefit (eg in depth of modulation) may be most apparent at the lower trem speed / oscillator freq.
As the cathode will be fully bypassed down to dc, whereas the efficacy of the 25uF bypass may not be as good 'down there'.
