Title: How to reset Chromes cache so it will load pages properly
Post by: EL34 on October 27, 2018, 11:08:08 am
Chrome is goofy when it comes to loading web pages where the .css file has been modified
It keeps a local copy of the .css file and will not use the new changed .css file that a web page is serving to you
This happens on Windows Chrome and Android mobile devices chrome also

Internet explorer can be told in the options to always load a new page, and that works great
I am not sure about Firefox or other browsers

Here's how you clean out Chrome so it will re-load a fresh web page
With the chrome browser open the shortcut key of SHIFT-CTRL-DEL will open the settings window
You can dig through the chrome settings menu and find this setting also, but the keyboard shortcut is easier

The first screen shot is chrome on a windows

SHIFT-CTRL-DEL
Advanced tab
Time range - All Time
Check the boxes below
Browsing history
Download History
Cached images and file

No need to delete cookies or any of the other data listed unless you want to

The second screen shot is from an Android mobile device
Click on the hamburger menu - 3 dots in the upper right
Click on History
Click on Clear Browsing History
