Hello all !! I'm parts gathering for my next build, a 5E8-A Fender Clone. I've done a 5E3 12" combo build and a 3 way 5F1/5F2A/ Martin/DeArmond R5 12" combo build. I've sourced a lot of the materials here at Hoffman Amps and I have all the capacitors. I'm kinda confused as how to order a 5E8-A turret board from Hoffman amps. It's not a custom board as it's listed as a eyelet board, but I would prefer the turret verses the eyelets. No special reason I just think it looks cooler. I'm at my son's house so I'm lacking my tools and my shop so buying and installing the turrets isn't doable. I brought just enough stuff to build this amp for him. Multi meter, capacitor tester, soldering iron and I'll be building a current limiter.
So if anyone can help me figure out how to order a 5E8-A turret board I can get my order in and get started!! Thank You!!
I guess I should fill in some info on myself. I'm a musician, played professionally for over 20 years, A retired Registered Respiratory Therapist, and have just recently found out the fun of building amps. I've always tinkered with guitars and tube amps, and once owned a solid state amp for 2 months.

Welcome. Low Power Tweed. Not sure, but I would simply ask Doug if he could send you a 5e8a board with turrets. Seems he has the layout for eyelets. I find in the preamp area I prefer Eyelets, but that is just me. Some say making modifications are easier with Turrets, but I do not see it. Marshall, turrets, Fender eyelets. 6 of one and half dozen of the other.
But, build what you like. A big part of the fun is making clean builds.

Welcome to the forum
Fender layouts do not work well with turrets because turret holes are tiny
Fender stuffs several leads into eyelets and they have much larger holes
