Title: Radon Gas?
Post by: Willabe on December 28, 2018, 06:45:58 pm
What do you guys have to say about radon gas?

We're selling our house and it seems to be a big deal now.   :dontknow:

from the little I've looked into it, I believe we're in the "sweet spot", the Midwest.  I believe you will find "trace elements" in most homes that have basements, especially the older cobbled versions like mine.  We've never tested, that way we can plead ignorance  :icon_biggrin:

You really should have, and talk to, a realtor. They have experience when to bluff and when you must do the whole fan thing to get a buyer. This is very local expertise. In South Jersey there is no radon (sand all the way down). In parts of north Jersey it is a Big Thing, and we had an elaborate fan. We have radon in Maine but nobody is real concerned. (OTOH lead paint scares folks with children).
