Title: Greetings
Post by: Sponger D on January 04, 2019, 03:15:51 pm
Career mechanic and have owned my own auto repair business- currently mechanic for diesel trucks transporting gasoline and jet fuels.  Also multi format still photographer.  Not professional musician but have played instruments for more than 60 years, starting with piano.  Started with guitar about 35 years ago, and due to lack of dicipline, oversized, burnt (welding) and damaged hands and fingers, have never achieved good fretboard finger skills.  This is not gonna stop me! Just bilt blonde parts Tele with Bigsby and Callaham tremolo parts- but has issues- proves how important compatability of components is.  Use my Rivera Sedona 55 for harmonica and keyboards.  Have build stereo equipment including my current system based of 300B tubes and Altec Voice of the Theater speakers- kits by Bottlehead in Washington state.  Can't design audio circuits- but can read diagrams and am beginning to understand them a little- a project in this site will help learn.  Have working TV-7B military tube tester which also helps to learn.  My best amp now is my old 1964 Fender Super Reverb converted to EL34 currently with some Siemens NOS.  My Deluxe Reverb RI and '64 Custom Deluxe Reverb cannot keep up.  Need to build something medium size that can compete with the FSR amp- why I came to this site.
