Title: Bassman 5f6a Attenuator light bulbs
Post by: Willisamps on February 07, 2019, 10:22:25 pm
Hey folks, I was wondering if this schematic is the correct way to install am incandescent bulb type clipper/attenuator for the power tubes? Any input is appreciated. (see attachment) Thanks!

here's the patent app, but it's for shared, cathode biased, applying it to fixed bias might bring un-intended things to light

Thanks, I assume it would be better/safer to just use a ppimv master volume, even if the 5f6a circuit had adjustable bias?

You could use light bulbs in the amp's output > light bulbs > speaker
