Dear All
I am a Civil engineer at his late 20s that takes apart staff since i was a toddle, started setting up guitars as a freshman to save money. Changing strings led to a deeper understanding of the guitar ecosystem and started to modify guitars and do minor repairs which led me to learn the basics of how a volume pot works (that was it). Then started experimenting with effect pedals and making some heavily modified clones.
Then i felt confident enough to risk electrocution with the high voltages inside an amp and start modifying a friends epi Valve Junior. Long story sort after many guitar-pedal builds, some guitar builds and a couple amp builds i made a silly mod and damaged my favorite ''brand-new-first-perfect-build-great-sounding-whyGODyoutakethisawayfromme'' amp , i felt devastated by the mistake and after a long search trying to find help i found a place that cheered my mood up even now that i was tube-less.
So greetings to all members. I feel great to be here!
P.S. I have already read a few threads and i was blown away by the amount of information. I wish i knew about this place at the start of my amp building days.

Welcome. You have entered the trailing edge of technology, isn't it great.
Shouldn't everything have 400+ Volts?

Welcome aboard! It certainly pays to have a sense of humor (and some extra money!) when you are pressing into the unknown - and it sounds like you have that! One of our member's, Shooter, once said, "You can buy convention off the shelf, creativity and craftsmanship comes special order :icon_biggrin:" You will find many like minded folks here. Doug, our host, also has the best service on the planet for parts. Looking forward to your projects and contributions.
