Hi folks, glad to be a new member here. I'm 60 (how'd THAT happen?!?), built two Dynaco SCA-35 integrated amp kits when I was about 13, and have dabbled with electronics off and on ever since. I've been playing guitar since age 12, starting out with finger style acoustic blues and ragtime, quickly bringing electric guitar into the mix. Still have my first amp, an Ampeg Rocket that I bought from a Jr. high school friend. I've added quite a few guitar and stereo tube amps to the mix since, and have modded, unmodded, maintained and repaired them almost entirely by myself. Right now the roster includes two Ampeg Rockets (one 6V6 model), '61 Vibrolux, '61 Reverb tank, blackface and silverface super reverbs, blackface vibrochamp, cool old National Westwood (like a champ with 2 8" speakers), MusicMan 112-100, and a handful of others. Always wanted to do a scratch build, and have accumulated a lot of the parts I'd need, but haven't gotten started yet. Maybe soon! Anyway, looking forward to being part of this community!
