Title: Splitting Pots for TMB Mids Add
Post by: jobewan on March 12, 2019, 05:12:23 pm
Hey All,

I am building my first amp where I just take a layout and source all the parts.  I am loving it!  I am building a Deluxe Reverb based on the Hoffman AB763 2 channel board.  I would like to add the Mid control and a bright switch, but I am not clear on what stacked pot to get, and where to get it.  The docs call for a split between a 250 K Audio pot and I am assuming it gets ganged with a 10 K Audio mids pot.  I have never seen a pot like that, and I am wondering where it gets sourced.  I would also very much appreciate a link to a ganged knob for that pot.  Appreciate any heads up you can throw my way.

On the positive - I have successfully finished two other builds since my first post - both Ceriatone kits.  The first is a Dumble Special FM Modern Eagle.  It is a phenomenal sounding amp.  I just completed a Dumble SSS (Steel String Singer) that together with my Bill Nash T-52 is my long sought "snap" clean sound - just that hair raising on the back of your neck tone.  I heartily endorse Ceriatone - Nick is a great manager and gets it done.  Email him if you are thinking of a build, he is an incredible resource.

Thanks All

Joe

What docs. are you referring to? The Hoffman ab763 that I see on the website shows an ordinary 10KA Pot for the MID. The BOM does also.
