Title: Need help identifying this part please.
Post by: Papa Jim on April 02, 2019, 09:31:32 am
I suspect it is off the reverb tank but cannot seem to find where. It is a blues Jr. and found it lying in the bottom of the cabinet.

If it's your pic just post it here.

Try this I made it open to the public. Everytime I try a picture on the forum here it gives a too large error.

That is a power tubes retainer. Keeps them from falling out of the sockets.

Look familiar? Read the restrictions. Especially the part I circled in blue...

Yeah it does. That's what I get every single time I try to post a picture so I always have to post a link from somewhere else.

Yeah it does. That's what I get every single time I try to post a picture in the worthless attachments. Is there is I am missing. I always have to post a link from somewhere else.
When I read that I know that I am not allowed to attach a file bigger than 1024KB. So, I only attach files that are smaller than 1024KB. That's what you must do also. It's that simple. That limit applies to all files that can be attached, even a word document. It's not just a pic thing.

There are plenty of ways to make a picture file smaller in byte size, not talking about pixel size. Google can find many ways to decrease the file size of pics. There has to be one or more that will suit you.

Thanks Sluckey. I didn't realize I could reduce the size a picture takes. I will check that out.  :worthy1:

> I didn't realize I could reduce the size a picture takes.

Modern cameras take way too many bits of image and do hardly any compression. This "saves time" for the camera, but typically gives a huge yet grainy image.

Unless the pic is really detailed, crop then reduce it to fit on a monitor. 1000 pixels wide is usually plenty.

JPEG compression is fairly effective for pretty-pictures. (Do NOT use JPEG for line drawings!) On another thread, a 10MB image instantly reduced to 170kB, a 60:1 reduction, just modest JPEG compression.
