Title: new to the Bassman club, and loving it.
Post by: nandrewjackson on April 12, 2019, 05:48:08 pm
After building a 4 channel 50 watt monstrosity, https://el34world.com/Forum/index.php?topic=24427.msg262881#msg262881 (https://el34world.com/Forum/index.php?topic=24427.msg262881#msg262881)  ,  I had the parts to build a head version of that combo, in a 100 watt version but was really sick of the complexity, so I went with a 100 watt solid state rectifier version of the 5F6A bassman.

Naturally I couldn't leave well enough alone, and I added a post EQ master volume.  I made it a single input, so there's an unused triode in there.  Also, I added dual bias pots, so It can run 6L6 or EL34s.

Thanks again to everyone here, so much help with this stuff over the years.   :icon_biggrin:

nice work!

I've used that iron on a couple builds, nice iron, runs cool no matter what the tubes are sweating.
