Hi all. New to the forum, been lurking for a while. I mainly tinker with guitars, but I've done some work with small amps (rebuilt a couple of solid state Thomas Vox Cambridge Reverbs, modded an AO-44 based amp built by a friend) plus basic maintenance on some big Fenders (Showman, Twin Reverb)
I'm thinking I'd like to take on Sluckey's AC30/4 variant at some point, and am looking at gathering parts. Are there any vintage amps that might be a good source for iron? I've been looking around at Hammond amps, but I don't see anything that puts more than two EL84s through a single OT (I believe the AO-33 runs 6 x EL84 but through three different OTs)
I've searched the forum and having found anything, but that may be my bad choice of search terms? If I've missed some obvious links, please let me know.
Anyway, I appreciate any suggestions.
Thanks, Mel

The AO-63 runs 7591s at about 30 watts but the OT is not a good choice for a quad of EL84s.

Thanks Sluckey. Are modern transformers a better bet? I read in the thread about sourcing iron for one of your AC15 clones that Classictone and Hammond are good?
