Hey! So I have a Blonde Bassman on my bench, the bass channel sounds like trash, there’s no response from the bass control at all. There is a really microphonic cap on the board— I’m assuming in the tonestack, and just wondering if anyone has had to replace the .25 astrons before. I’m almost positive they’re no good anymore, but it’s hard to tell even looking on a scope since it is really super sensitive

Thought you were going to replace those a week ago?
-
The client needed to wait to get the work done, but now that I have the ok I just had some second thoughts before replacing the astrons
-
Wanted to see if there’s anything else that could be wrong and know for sure!!

anything else that could be wrong
ha, I just tore down my mower cuz it wouldn't stear, found what caused that, AND 3 "other" problems just as big.
anything in the path is suspect, tubes, sockets, caps, solder..............
fix the 1st thing, move to 2nd, then.......
that's the nature of fixin broke stuff
