My tribute to D-Day with Dick playing Amazing Grace followed by Third Stone From the Sun. I thought I knew everything about Hendrix, I had no idea (or just plain forgot) that this song was dedicated to Dick when he thought he had terminal cancer back in the 60's - hence the line we will never hear surf music again. Turns out they were friends and certainly mutual fans. The drummer here is pretty awesome.
And just to show the mean girls I do have a sense of humor, here is another Dick Dale classic!

I saw him in St Pete in the late 1990s by myself. That was one I was not going to miss. Most shows I attend because I’m working them. I have paid to see Dick Dale, Robin Trower, EC, Eric Gales, etc. I must say some of the best shows I’ve been to, I was alone (in a crowd). Its a very efficient way to see a show, cheaper, no one ever makes you leave early.

Yeah, Dicks's version of Smoke on the Water is the best version I have ever heard come out of a Stratocaster, so I want to thank the OP. Usually they are very plinky sounding guitars, but his has a great tone. Probably plugged into a nice Fender amp. Nothing better.
