Title: An Ingenious Speaker Switch - 1929
Post by: PRR on June 27, 2019, 12:11:19 am
Uses a dead tube as a switch handle. Designed around an old 4-pin base, but would work on an Octal, especially if you have snapped-off (oops) the center pin.

My dad's old Radio Handbook from the early 40's also had a lot of electronic "woodworking" projects.  If it wasn't available, you built it.  Lots of creativity back then - and much was repurposed and reused.  Cool stuff!
