Title: Just fixed a Peavey VK112 but it's not very loud for 50w
Post by: JustMike on July 15, 2019, 04:38:49 pm
 I picked it up for $100 because it was "dead". Cleaned the jacks and resoldered the input jacks to the PCB and it seems to work fine. But compared to a Traynor YCV40, it's not very loud. The Traynor is 40w and the VK is 50w. What explains this?
 Thanks.

way to many "things" without more data like;
where's it biased cold hot?
how old are the tubes
how close is the B+ to original

Did you try both amps through the same speaker?
