Title: Question on Sluckey's Dual 50
Post by: RobBozic on August 07, 2019, 08:53:19 pm
Hi,
I'm rebuilding my 50W Marshall inspired amp into Sluckey's dual 50 with a few tweaks.
My question is with the mixer resistors prior to the CF.
The original schematic had the JCM800 treble peaker + 470K to ground along with an additional 470K as a mixer resistor for 'NOTE 5'.
I assume the revised schematic does the same thing as I still have the 470K mixer from the plexi channel going to ground (so long as turn the plexi volume to zero).

Thanks in advance
Rob

why not just use a 47K-56K shared load resistor with that proposed schema?  BTW, not how i'd build: use slucky's schema and just add the one 470K mixer. trim the treble peaking to taste after you build it, or eliminate it.
