Title: Bias circuit design check
Post by: Fiat_cc on August 12, 2019, 06:52:09 am
Hi all.
Just want to check on the ground reference in this bias circuit design.  I know the rest of the circuit will work.  Yes there are 4 diodes.  That is because the transformer winding will only give me 44 volts end to end, and I am using it to drive 6L6GC's at a relatively high plate voltage (up around 470) so I am likely to need 48-50V to get them to bias.
I just want to know that the ground reference is safe and useful where it is.
Cheers,
Reuben

That's correct.

That's correct.

Thanks.
Thought so, but I've made a couple of dopey mistakes lately, working late at night, so thought I'd triple check.
