Title: How about some Black Sabbath?
Post by: EL34 on September 07, 2019, 04:30:55 pm
I finished mix #1 of War Pigs

I did all the guitar parts

I think I got a pretty cool heavy guitar tone

Those are some great Laney inspired grinding chords! Time to throw the lead in and sub your vocals in there!

It's a combo of 3 different guitar tones blended together to make the big fat sound

I pulled out the 3 guitar sounds so you can hear each one by itself and then all 3 together.

Left Channel - Middle Channel - Right channel - Then all 3 sounds blended

You can hear how all 3 blended together sounds way better

Yeah guitar backing tracks used to be free.  Now after two or three downloads they want you to upload your own backing track to get more.  I've heard some really crappy uploads....  I don't think they are doing themselves any favors by requiring this as it waters down the overall quality of the site.  Some sound like a teeny genie organ with 70's monophonic video game quality sound.

Good job on the backing track. I just jammed along to it and only lost one bar during the solo. Very cool. How are you doing the drums?

I don't do the drums, I buy backing tracks for $2.99

You can download all the tracks separately and drop them into a DAW

You can mute all the tracks except the one you want
You then download that track
Then do the same thing for all the other tracks you want to use.

I don't use the guitar tracks, I do all the guitar parts.

Here's the War Pigs link that I used

Oh OK. Well good job on the blending of those three guitars. I just discovered this sound clip area. Very cool. That Boston one you did was awesome. I have a lot of discovery to do here.  :worthy1:
