Hi Everyone.

Would like to introduce myself. First of...i,m a latebloomer in electronics, but an early bird in music and music production. I,m a writer, singer and studio owner.

Proffesionally i,m a mechanical engineer and vocational trainer and auteur of books for CNC training and production optimalisation. Have two beatifull kids and very happily married. I tinker in my garage and set out (about 6 years ago)  to build my own microphone preamps. Boy ...was i out of my league. A dual redd is not for starters. But the bugg bit.

Now the redd 47 is finished and i fell in love with scratch building guitar amps. I love designing my own housings for them. Doing woodworking, sourcing vintage parts form old tube radios and doing detail work with leather and steel.

I,m raised and born in Eindhoven The netherlands so fermly rooted in Philips country.  Every week i go to a tube amp/radio tech evening with some of the finest ex-Philips Natlab employees to further my knowledge and mentoring. I feel sooo incredibly stupid when i,m there. But they are really nice.

Anyways... I see El34 world is a better place for me to hang out. Gearslutz i tried. Not my people. At groupdiy everyone is building the same stuff... :w2:
Hope to find a basis here to just chat and hang out.

Kind regards,

Pietro

Well you came to the right place!  Loads of nice people here willing to share their expertise.  Plus, it seems like people are building all sorts of crazy things every day.  I would still attend those tube amp/radio tech meetings if I was you.  Lots to learn and a short conversation with someone face to face is sometimes much easier than minutes of typing hoping you are getting your point across!  Welcome aboard!
