Ran into this ~26 page instructional booklet from 1964 that covers some basic but non-standard circuits used in Tektronix instruments that some people might find useful in learning about tube schematics.
It's a light but interesting read that covers, among other things, various cathode followers, long-tailed paraphase inverter and even a sawtooth generator called a Phantastron.
