Title: My first DIYLC board
Post by: gooch on October 07, 2019, 01:56:24 pm
Hello

I just finished my first board in DIYLC it's based around on Matchless Lighting/Trinity T15 I used Trinity's layout as a reference. I am looking for another set of eyes to look it over in case I missed something is my spacing good ext. before I commit to having it made.
Thanks
Dave

No way to say your spacing is good since nothing is to scale. In order to know that stuff will fit you need to start with known board dimensions. Then you need to use components that have the same dimensions as the real things. I believe Hoffman has several libraries of components that are realistically scaled. There is also a separate forum dedicated to DIY Layout Creator.

Sorry, if I posted in the wrong forum and I should have mentioned I made the board 13" long in DIYLC that what I need for in to fit in a blues jr chassis. I can add components and see what that looks like.

Regards
Dave

Thanks, Willabe

So taking Sluckey advice I put all the parts on the board with the correct measurement of each one I had to move some eyelets around. I think I have a better layout now going to print it out and place it in the chassis and see if it will work.
Here the new layout

Thanks
Dave

I have a bunch of components in the library that you can download
No need to create all those from scratch

Go to the Templates files section in the library here
https://el34world.com/charts/DiyLayoutCreatorFiles.htm (https://el34world.com/charts/DiyLayoutCreatorFiles.htm)

Download the .xml files you want
In DIYLC
File -Integration - Import variants
Import the xml files into DIYLC
