Title: Meat Pot Noise
Post by: Tbone55 on October 10, 2019, 04:31:33 pm
Hi There,

I'm getting a scratching sound from the meat pot on a Blues Jr conversion I just completed. The pot works but makes a scratchy noise as you turn it back and forth. Is there anything else I should be looking at or is the culprit just the pot?  :w2: Other than that the amp is working as it should.

Thanks.

Is there DC anywhere on the pot?

Thanks kindly for your reply. It turns out that I missed connecting a ground wire to the part of the circuit that goes to the meat pot. Scratchy sound is gone and the meat pot works as it should. I need to be more careful and really do a better job of troubleshooting. At least this issue wasn't hard to pinpoint. Thanks again for your input.

Cheers!
