Title: Adjustable Bias and universal output tube setups....
Post by: 1blueheron on October 22, 2019, 09:03:07 am
I am interested in building an amp that can utilize 6V6, 6L6, EL84, EL34 KT66, KT88 with relative ease if possible.  I would like to use my salvaged Wurlitzer organ amp for donor iron which was a PP 6L6 amp.

I have read that there are amps out there that can do this, such as the Allens, Mesa, Komet etc.

I like what I am hearing from the Komet 60 but can't find a schema for it.  Any suggestions for this project appreciated.

Thanks.

SE or PP?

I probably wouldn't attempt it myself, too much work for too little change, IF I did try, I'd build it for the '88 running happy then go back n hack it up

Preferrably PP as I believe the OT for my Wurly is for PP.

If 6V6 and EL84 are expected to run with 6L6 loading, aim for 300V-330V B+ and don't expect over 15 Watts.

The big tubes are a different class than the little tubes.
