Title: Greetings from Edmonton

Good day;

Stumbled across this forum somewhat by accident, glad to see there is a gathering place for amplifier talk.  I'm somewhat new to tubes, although I've been kinda fascinated with them since I was a kid.  I work in the telecom industry maintaining telecom transport equipment and over the last few years been tinkering with tubes and hoping to build an EL34 push/pull in the near future. Also interested in automotives, motorcycles, cycling, and anything electrical or with moving parts, really.

So far my tube experience has been with freebie or cheap tube radios, hi fi consoles etc and as a kid tearing old tube TVs apart.  I'm not looking for a lot of power - I have a single ended ECL86 amp currently salvaged from a console unit but the sound impresses me.  Love the glow from a family of happy tubes.
