Title: battling windows for control
Post by: shooter on November 28, 2019, 01:53:45 pm
windows has been stealing my VERY expensive bandwidth ($56/8G) and NOT paying!
so I keep disabling services til I got it to quit, my Prize for beating the giant

This now is embossed on my desktop;

"Windows 7 Build 7601 This copy of windows not genuine"

ya, know, that's why I've "shut it down'  MS is trying their best to make me win10 lite.  I have zero use for  bastardized software.

I need to find an unauthorized software installer since the authorized one's told me they can't turn off "all the BS" if I upgrade to win10 and I quit learning how at win 98.

i typically buy off-lease dell precision workstations. the next one (probably a 7920 with at least 8 cores) would have windows 10 pro loaded. with no migration tool included with Win10, that migration is likely going to be one very frustrating endeavor and one i am not looking forward to.

Least you stayed "active"  :laugh:
I do like 12 things on a computer, none of its needs anything fancier than win 98.  so I just buy a $130 asus, pay to max out, and now shutdown ALL background chatter, ask me, I might even say ya, assume, I'll fight you with one arm and limping singing I love Chinese  :icon_biggrin:
