Title: 6.3 v filament wire question
Post by: Tapsnap on January 16, 2020, 09:05:00 pm
Is it important to maintain a consistency of the connections of the heater wires so that one wire always connects to the 4 and 5 tube terminals, while the other always connects to the 9s?
Since it’s AC, it shouldn’t matter, right?

It looks prettier if consistent.

I do it because I've read in several places that you are supposed to. But, I also twist the wires tightly for the same reason. But take a look at Sluckey's excellent builds.

It matters not on filaments as long as you understand NOT to twist up or lay down sensitive signals with them
