I have a suspicion that they had a "Stock" distribution transformer data-plate. While this is not a distribution tranny, it had to be made in the big-iron shop, so they cobbled a data-plate.
I bet the "real specs" was a thick book of notes; the plate was just so it wasn't confused with the many tons of other iron at WLW.

I *think* it "has" to handle 250KVA peaks to fully modulate a 500KW AM transmitter. And given the rarity of full-power 30CPS, probably few dB more could be had.
This label is just about halfway up the tank, and is at eye-level.

The building I work in use to serve one of GE's mobile radio divisions. They did a lot of testing on base stations and had a 72' tall portion of the building in which they would simulate lightning strikes to a base station. A spiral stairway wound its way to the top. I salvaged the stairway and a portion of it is now in my house. They had a lot of interesting voltages and transformers around the building. Some of them are too big to remove and difficult to dispose of because of the oil, PCB's etc. so we just live with them as giant ornaments of the past. There was also a cyanide pit which was used for recovering gold plating off connectors and circuit boards.
Is that unit still in active service?

Not sure how many gallons 3cuft is but that was the HV tank for early 80's CT. Was NOT a fun day going tank diving. specs were puny 140KV-dc at 100mA, enough that you still locked out the mains :icon_biggrin:

725 gallons is 96.9 cu. ft. That's about two hot tubs, or 7.25 bathtubs. :icon_biggrin:
