Title: Fender Pro Junior Choke
Post by: ListerHayes on January 23, 2020, 02:19:10 pm
First off, thanks again for all the help on getting my amp squared away.

Next up, I just put in MM Output and Power transformers and have a MM choke that I'd like to add.  I've never installed a choke before, so where would be the best place to wire it in?

There is only 1 place for the typical guitar amp: after the plate supply & before the screen supply.  That's where R32 is.  You can then dispense with R32; reduce its value; or maybe increase the value of the screen resistors R24 & R25.

Or do you mean where physically in terms of layout?

Thank you.  That's what I needed to know.  I'll start by putting the choke in place of R32 and see how it performs...
